School Mental Health: Development of Tools for Diagnosis and Prevention of Mental Health Issues to Improve School Wellbeing is an IDEA FACTORY project that aims to strengthen the emotional well-being and mental health of young people across the EU education system.

The project focuses on prevention, early intervention and awareness raising by promoting a collaborative approach that brings together students, educators, mental health professionals and families. Through transnational cooperation, the initiative seeks to improve understanding of young people’s mental health needs and support more inclusive, resilient and supportive school environments.

Building on research and the exchange of good practices across Europe, the project will develop innovative digital training resources for teachers, professionals and families, alongside a virtual platform offering learning, support and awareness-raising opportunities.

The project will also deliver an EU-wide awareness campaign to highlight the importance of mental health during young people’s educational journey, addressing challenges such as loneliness, social exclusion and unequal opportunities while promoting inclusion, well-being and positive mental health outcomes in schools.
